Perhaps one of the least exciting tasks of turning a plane into a simulator (with OEM wiring) is the endless monotony of figuring out which wires matter. In order to know which wires are important, first you must understand the wiring of the plane, which is no small feat. Thankfully when buying sliced-up planes on eBay they come with the WDM (Wiring Diagram Manual) which is essential for this project. The WDM is the holy grail, detailing every single wire, plug, terminal and connection in the entire plane. This gives us all the detail needed to rewire the cockpit so it can come back to life.
